Peat Briquettes
Peat briquettes are made from high-quality peat without the use of binders. After being compressed into briquettes, they are dried. The production process is similar to that used for wood briquettes.
Their main advantage is slow, even burning with long-lasting embers. They are suitable for fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, traditional stoves and boilers, where their long burn time extends the intervals between refuelling.
Peat briquettes are compact and take up considerably less space than firewood. They do not absorb moisture from the air, so they can be stored for several years under an outdoor shelter. They are competitively priced compared with coal or firewood and do not cause tar build-up in the chimney when burned.
The ash can be used as a natural fertiliser in compost or on garden beds, contributing to the environmentally friendly use of this fuel.
